NGC 7789 - Caroline's Rose

NGC 7789
NGC 7789 also known as Caroline’s Rose is one of the most visually stunning objects in Cassiopeia when viewed through a medium-sized telescope.  It is an open star cluster composed of at least 150 stars which are 8,000 light years distant and 60 light years in diameter.  Many of the brighter stars are G and K orange giants and are estimated to be 1.6 billion years old.
