March 13, 2013, Sunset on the beach at Shired Island Park, Dixie County, Florida. I'm set up to observe, photograph and make a time lapse video of Comet C/2011 L4 PANSTARRS. For gearheads out there, I'm using three cameras to image: 1) EOS-5D MkIII and EF24-105mm f/4L (far right for time lapse); 2) EOS-40D EF 400mm f/5.6L on a GM-8 (2nd from right for timelapse); D700 and 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-D (next to me for "just in case.") At far left is a SV90TBV binoviewer for observing, spotting and sharing comet views with my park neighbors.
