Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Test for Sharpness in Images

Images were taken on the same day at ISO 100 in RAW mode and automatic white balance. RAW files were converted to 300 dpi tifs with Capture One Pro v. 3.6. The tifs were enlarged in Photoshop 7 to 20 inch wide tifs, sampled and samples converted to 72 dpi jpg's. Sharpening and unsharp mask was used to optimize image sharpness.

Summary of Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM sharpness in images

• 12.5mm (20mm full-frame equivalent): Good sharpness to corners
• 15mm (24mm full-frame equivalent): Moderately good sharpness to corners
• 22mm (35mm full-frame equivalent): Noticeable softness in corners (still very useable)
