University of Florida President W. Kent Fuchs Addresses CVM Faculty Assembly - April 6, 2016

University of Florida President W. Kent Fuchs attended a Faculty Assembly at the College of Veterinary Medicine and discussed his role in working on behalf of the faculty as President to communicate both within and outside UF, to bring resources to UF and to set a tone for UF with UF Trustees, state legislators, and alumni. He discussed the 7 major goals of UF as well as the importance of promoting philanthropy as UF makes progress towards a goal of achieving $350M in gifts to the University this year. He responded to faculty questions about the RCM budget model, preeminence faculty hires, criteria for administrative efficiency, promotion and tenure review and, finally, the future of distance learning at UF.
