About the Photographer

William Castleman

I am a retired professor of veterinary pathology at the University of Florida and have been active professionally in scientific photography since 1971. My early years as a photographer and scientific imager were spent in California, New York and Wisconsin. After moving to Gainesville, Florida and the University of Florida in the early 1990's, I became much more interested in general photography and in astrophotography. People, events and natural areas in, around and above Gainesville and the University of Florida provide a rich source of photographic subjects of stunning beauty.

Thank you for visiting my website and for viewing some of the photographs and videos that I have on exhibit.
