The Seagull nebula is a complex of emission and reflection nebulas and star clusters located between constellations Monoceros and Canis Major.
- IC 2177 is a reflection/emission nebula that forms the head of the Seagull in the Seagull nebula. It is 3,653 light years from the Sun and 200 light years in diameter. It is ionized/illuminated by the B0 subgiant HD 53623.
- Sh2-296 is a large HII region (emission nebula) that forms the "wings" of the seagull.
- VdB90: Reflection nebula
- Ced90: Ionized HII region (emission nebula) in Canis Major 3,300 to 4,600 light years from the Sun. Also known as Sh2-297.
- LBN 1038: Bright HII region.
- VdB95: Reflection nebula in Canis Major.
- NGC 2343: Open star cluster in Monceros, 3650 light years from the Sun.
- NGC 2353: Open star cluster in Monoceros, magnitude 7.1 3,650 light years from the Sun.
