Methods for image and print preparation
Parking garage
images were taken with cameras on a tripod. Cameras were in aperture
priority mode set for evaluative (pattern) metering at ISO 100 at f/8 in
auto white balance mode. The dining building photos were taken with
hand-held cameras at ISO200 (f/8 for the EOS-40D; f/5.6 for the GF1). Raw
image files were converted to high resolution tif files with Light Room 2
using camera settings with no noise reduction. Image files were resized to
16 inch wide files, slight unsharp mask was applied, and images were
printed on Super A3 paper with an Epson 1270 ink jet printer and compared.
The print files were converted to jpg's and sampled for the web page.
Minimal curves, brightness and contrast adjustments were done on the image
files.
